Whether you’re talking about Kenneth Hagin Ministries (a worldwide ministry) or RHEMA Bible Church (a thriving congregation of more than 8,000)—it’s all RHEMA.

Whether you’re talking about RHEMA Bible Training Center (a ministerial training center with more than 24,000 graduates and 14 schools worldwide) or Faith Library Publications (a leader in the charismatic book market with more than 216 books in print)—it’s all RHEMA.

Whether you’re talking about television and radio broadcasts (RHEMA Praise and Rhema for Today) or The Word of Faith (a free magazine mailed to over 300,000 homes each month)—it’s all RHEMA.

And RHEMA is all about one thing—to help usher in the last great move of God’s Spirit and the Second Coming of Christ.

From East Texas cotton fields, to ticket sales at the Isis Theater in Fort Worth, to leading one of the largest church congregations in America, John Osteen made a historic mark on the landscape of Christianity. Founding Pastors of Lakewood Church, John Osteen along with his wife Dodie, have touched the lives of millions of people in more than 100 countries.

Before Pastor Osteen's death in 1999, he had become known as a "pastor's pastor" and was constantly busy leading conferences and seminars in Houston and around the world. Whether preaching to millions on television or speaking to a single person, John Osteen's honesty, integrity, and leadership gained him the respect and admiration of people worldwide.

His father's unexpected passing in early 1999 opened a new door for Joel, and at that point, he assumed the role of Senior Pastor at Lakewood Church.  Now, with his wife Victoria, and the leadership staff of Lakewood, this innovative church is poised for the new millennium.

Since 1999, under the leadership of Pastor Joel Osteen, Lakewood has grown in a variety of ways. Lakewood's commitment to community outreach continues to increase, and its international media broadcast has expanded into over 200 million households in the United States.

In late 1992, Senior Pastor Larry Stockstill of Bethany World Prayer Center made the decision to transition his church into a cell church model. On Easter Sunday of 1993, Bethany’s first 54 cell groups were opened. Multiplication was rapid and explosive as the congregation caught the vision of cell life.  Pastor Stockstill's ministry emphasizes not only cells but also prayer and world missions.

As Bethany’s cell ministry grew, more and more churches began looking to the pastors and staff for help in implementing the cell ministry in their own congregations. To meet this need, Bethany Cell Church Network (BCCN) was formed in October 1997. Directed by Pastor Carl Everett, BCCN is dedicated to networking with cell churches around the world to encourage, train, and provide resources to reach our generation for Christ. BCCN has three main focuses: consultation, conferences, and resources.
