VICTORY TO VICTORY CHURCH DAILY DEVOTIONAL
April 1 through May 31, 2021
April 1
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. 1 Peter 3:12 (NIV)
God intends for you to be happy, peaceful, contented, and to enjoy your life. God wants us to be examples of what it means to live a life of faith. When people see us, they should see so much joy, so much peace and happiness that they will want what we have, a “Father / child” relationship with the God of the Universe! Amen!
April 2
I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. Matthew 18:18-19 (NIV)
Know that you are blessed and cannot be cursed. Speak it out! Know that due season is coming at the exact right time and things are going to change in your favor. Touch and agree with another believer and watch God do great things in your lives!
April 3
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made.
Psalm 145:13 (NIV)
God's Kingdom is everlasting, it goes on and on into eternity! And as long as His Kingdom endures, He is in control! He is faithful! If He said it, He'll do it! If He's spoken it, it must come to pass!
April 4
So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Romans 2:3 (NIV)
Matthew 7:1 (KJV): Judge not, that ye be not judged. It is not up to us humans to pass judgment on other humans. If and / or when we do, we open ourselves up for judgment. Let us practice mercy and forgiveness and that's what we will receive!
April 5
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12 (NIV)
Put your hope and trust in the Lord and rejoice! Be patient under trials, knowing that God is moving on your behalf! Be faithful and believing when you pray! Then watch God work!
April 6
It is good to praise the LORD and make music to Your Name,
O Most High …Psalm 92:1 (NIV)
Let everything and everyone that has breath praise the Lord!
Sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs unto the Lord!
Bless His Name, now and forever!
April 7
For the sake of His great name the LORD will not reject
His people, because the LORD was pleased to make you His own. 1 Samuel 12:22 (NIV)
Know this: You were made in the image of Almighty God! He has not rejected you – the Word says He loves us with an everlasting love! You will be amazed at how much more you enjoy your life and how much better you feel about yourself if you will learn to say what God says about you!
April 8
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)
Change the way you think about yourself and your situation, change the way you speak about yourself and your circumstances, and you will change your life!
April 9
Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Corinthians 7:1 (NIV)
It is much better to develop good habits right now. Look at the way you live and ask, “Why am I doing what I’m doing? Is that something that has been passed down to me by my family? Is this a good habit? Is it helping me become a better person?” If, in your analysis, you discover some habits that are not productive or profitable, dare to make the changes that will help you to replace them. Make sure that you are not allowing anything but God to master you.
April 10
His God instructs him and teaches him the right way.
Isaiah 28:23 (AMP)
Children are not perfect. They make mistakes, but we should take joy in teaching them, training them, and helping them come up higher. That is the way God is with us. He loves us unconditionally. Let us pass that on to our children – our natural children and our spiritual children.
April 11
I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, “You are My servant”; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:9, 10 (NIV)
We are called and we are chosen! We have no need to fear – God has not given us that spirit. We flow in power, love, and a sound mind. Believe and receive the strength of God and the mercy that flows from a loving God.
April 12
I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.”
Psalm 16:2 (NIV)
Apart from God, we can do nothing, and we have nothing. Every good and every perfect gift comes from the Father of Lights! We lean on Him, rely on Him, and trust in Him daily!
April 13
So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; make and female He created them.
Genesis 1:27 (NIV)
We have a responsibility to keep ourselves healthy and whole – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. God has entrusted us with His talents, with His dreams. Do not allow anyone to dampen your spirit. You are extremely valuable. You are made in the image of Almighty God!
April 14
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
Before you start your busy day, take a few minutes to speak blessings over your life. Write them down and confess them daily! Something supernatural happens when we speak God's Word over our lives! That is how we give life to our faith.
April 15
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
1st Peter 4:8 (NIV)
No two people are completely compatible. We must learn to become one. That means we may have to make sacrifices; we may have to overlook some things. We must be willing to compromise for the good of our relationships. Let the love of God cover anything that is not like Him.
April 16
For I have come to have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
Philemon 1:7 (NASB)
Learn to celebrate other people’s victories. Let their success inspire you. Know that if God did something so marvelous for them, He can certainly do it for you. He is no Respecter of persons!
April 17
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Luke 12:34 (NIV)
It has been said that the wealthiest place on earth is not Fort Knox or the Middle Eastern oil fields. Nor is it the gold and diamond mines in South Africa. Ironically, the wealthiest places on earth are said to be the cemeteries because lying in those graves are all kinds of dreams and desires that will never be realized and relationships that were never formed. Sadly, the incredible power of potential is lying in those graves.
Determine that this will not be in your life. Delight yourself in the Lord and ask Him to bring to pass every dream and every desire now, in Jesus Name!
April 18
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him …
Psalm 37:7 (NIV)
Thank God that He knows what is best for us! Thank God that He is merciful, and he does not always give us our way! When your prayers are not being answered as fast as you would like, know that God is either protecting you from something, it is not the right time, or God has something better in store. Trust Him!
April 19
Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts. Glory in His Holy Name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
1St Chronicles 16:9, 10 (NIV)
If we have a song in our hearts, God has put it there! So seek the Lord and rejoice! Tell of His mercy and His grace; tell of His glorious plan for salvation and bless His Name!
April 20
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24 (NIV)
Put off the old way of living and put on new life today! Put off the old way of thinking and begin to think like God today! We are created to be like God – righteous and holy in every way!
April 21
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name. Bring an offering and come before Him; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness. 1 Chronicles 16:29 (NIV)
Vow to give God all the glory that is due to Him every day! Magnify Him every day! Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to him and bless His Name!
April 22
For GOD alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation. Psalm 62:1 (AMP)
Listen to the still, small voice - that's God speaking. Learn to recognize His voice – from Him alone comes salvation, wisdom, knowledge and understanding! Get to know the voice of God and trust what it speaks to you!
April 23
To the faithful You show Yourself faithful, to the blameless You show Yourself blameless. 2 Samuel 22:26 (NIV)
Look for glimpses of God’s goodness in the little things in life. Look for His blessings in nature, recognize His work in the ordinary areas of life – a kind word from a stranger, a rainbow in the sky, a flower blooming in a field. All these things display the glory of God!
April 24
And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (NIV)
You do not have to figure everything out. You may not know what your future holds, but if you know who holds your future, you’re going to be okay. God has been taking care of you and everything that concerns you up to this point and He's not about to stop now!
April 25
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Philippians 3:12 (NIV)
Thank God for all that He has done for you, but be careful. Sometimes when you are enjoying life, it is easy to become complacent, to get satisfied. Remember, God never performs His greatest feats in your yesterdays. We look to the future glories! Keep pressing forward!
April 26
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10 (NIV)
Know that you have incredible potential within you - much more than you may realize. God is not limited by the laws of nature. He can do what human beings cannot. The key is to get your eyes off your problems and onto your God. Say “God, I'm not going to look at what I don't have. I'm looking unto You. I know in my weakness, You show up the strongest!”
April 27
When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other … Ecclesiastes 7:14 (NIV)
Your destiny is not tied to what happened in your past or even to what is happening in your life right now! Your destiny is tied to the Word of God and His promises! Amen and so be it!
April 28
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.
1 John 3:1 (NIV)
Sometimes you hear people say, “Well, he’s just got good genes. He just comes from good stock.” Know this - you come from superior stock, excellent stock. God brought you out of His best, His Son Jesus Christ!
April 29
Wisdom strengthens a wise man more than ten rulers who are in a city. Ecclesiastes 7:19 (NASB)
Know that God has you right where you are for a reason. He is directing your every step. You are where you are supposed to be at this very moment; and even if it is not a good place, God is giving you the strength to stay there.
God has you in the palm of His hand and He will protect you and guide you to His best. Seek Him in all things!
April 30
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the LORD, because you know that your labor in the LORD is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)
Even if you are not where you want to be or doing what you want to do, give yourself fully to whatever work God has you involved in right now. Work hard – perfect what He has given you to do. Trust Him to move you into your heart's desire.
May 1
Now about food offered to idols: of course, we know that all of us possess knowledge [concerning these matters. Yet mere] knowledge causes people to be puffed up (to bear themselves loftily and be proud), but love (affection and goodwill and benevolence) edifies and builds up and encourages one to grow [to his full stature]. 1 Corinthians 8:1 (AMP)
The Bible says in First Corinthians 8, verse 1, that love encourages people to grow to their full stature. When you believe the best of people, you help to bring the best out of them!
May 2
The LORD will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11 (NIV)
Believe that God is at work in your life and then be on the lookout to see His hand shaping the events. It may be that a scripture jumps out at you one day while you are reading. Or maybe you will see a rainbow in the sky and know that it is your time for a fresh start. God gives us these little glimpses to build our faith, to let us know He's still in control and working everything out to our complete satisfaction!
May 3
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Romans 12:10 (NIV)
Another scripture version says “...outdo yourselves in honoring one another.” Other scriptures admonish us to “Love one another” and “...in humility, consider others more important than yourselves.” So... apparently, this is important to God! Honor others and, so in doing, honor and serve God!
May 4
A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor. Proverbs 22:9 (NIV)
Believe this truth from God's Word and know that, if you meet other people’s needs, God will surely meet yours!

To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, He will give eternal life.

May 6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5,6 (NIV)
Even when your plans don’t work out, don’t get negative and sour. Don’t start complaining, mumbling, or grumbling. God may be protecting you from something ahead that will harm you. Learn to go with the flow. Don’t get upset and let minor interruptions or setbacks steal your joy. Trust God!

May 9
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:4 (NIV)
At times we may pray, “God, you’ve got to get me out of this situation now. I can’t stand it any longer.” A better way to pray is, “Father, please give me the strength to go through this with a good attitude. Help me to keep my joy. Help me to keep my peace.” Our circumstances are not going to change until we change!
May 10
If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Once we acknowledge that God is our Source, that He is our All in All, we can rest and be sure that we will never be shaken. Rest in the Word! Trust the promises of God and rejoice!

God holds our victory, so our victory is assured! God is our Shield and Buckler! God is the Guard and the Protector of our way!
We cannot lose! Praise His Name!

Rest in the Lord – you are safe and secure in His arms!
May 15
Who is a God like You, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.
Micah 7:18 (NIV)
There is no one like our God! He is a God of mercy, grace and forgiveness! A God of love and compassion! When you make a mistake, don’t sit around feeling guilty. Immediately go to God and say, “Father, I’m sorry. I repent. Help me to do better next time.” Then receive the forgiveness of God and walk in it!
May 16
The LORD will not forsake His people for His great name’s sake, for it has pleased Him to make you a people for Himself.
1st Samuel 12:22 (AMP)

May 17
Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.
2 Corinthians 3:4-5 (NIV)
The only thing we have a right to boast of is that we belong to God. We have no might, no strength, no power apart from Him! It's not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit that we are saved, set free, healed and delivered! Thank You, Lord!
May 18
Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still holds and is offered [today], let us be afraid [to distrust it], lest any of you should think he has come too late and has come short of [reaching] it. Hebrews 4:1 (AMP)
God created you to feel good about yourself. He created you to feel complete, to feel whole, to be confident and secure. Not to constantly be against yourself. It is never too late to change and be all God has called you to be! His rest is available to you now!

May 22
In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry…Ephesians 4:26 (NIV)
The Bible tells us “to be angry and sin not.” We know that, at times, we’re going to get angry. Anger is an emotion God built into us. But we don’t have to blow up and say hurtful things that are going to damage our relationships. Learn to take a step back, collect your thoughts, and think about what you want to say. Your words have creative power. Speak life, speak healing!
May 23
I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for My own sake, and remembers your sins no more.

May 29
All your children will be taught by the LORD, and great will be their peace. Isaiah 54:13 (NIV)

We believe in you. You are destined to do great things.” Speak words of blessing over your children. Speak victory over their lives. They need your encouragement. They need your approval. Help them to have a big vision for their lives!
May 30
The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. Proverbs 15:33 (NIV)

May 31
Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; but you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. Isaiah 54:4 (NASB)
The Word of God says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus...” So begin to say what the Word says about you. Tell yourself: “I am forgiven. I am restored. God has a new plan and a new purpose for me. Good things are coming to me now!” Rise up and speak the Word only!
